Oh and I just got home from an amazing 5 day trip to New York with my mom and sister. I can’t wait to get my film developed! This was the first trip where I only used my old canon ae-1 and iPhone (my 60d stayed in my bag, didn’t need it) weird! It was truly a wonderful trip, and I want to go back so badly!
I’m so thankful for this summer, where I’ve been able to move around a little. It hasn’t left a lot of time for relaxing really (in fact this is my first day to sit and do nothing in a forever long while). But it’s been full of good stuff. Having missed summer here in mb last year I didn’t want to waste a minute of this one. And I think it’s safe to say I haven’t.
Now it’s time to exhale, sit down and start something new. I’m going to go paint.
Well what can I say? It’s been a good summer. I’ve been able to make it to the lake with my old Canon AE-1 and life is always better in film. Good music [at folk fest and hanging out with my brother at the lake], getting to the lake, driving all over these prairies and of course documenting it all. These are the things I love about Manitoba summer.
I can’t believe how soon summer will be over and then back to school mode will kick-in all over the place. With cool temperatures, lots of layers, tuition, and a bunch of changes coming my way. Well here we go…
